Another week of art journals, website updates, digi kits, domesticity, laundry, trips to secure lock ups and stealing from myself!
I was feeling in the mood to create a vintage, steampunky styled art journal page and what better place to do it than in my small circle art journal. I used my laser printer to print the main focal images as I didn’t want to smudge the images when adding colour and this also made it easier to resize the images to fit to the right size of my circle journal page.
I have filmed the entire process of the creation of the art journal page from start to finish, which you can watch by clicking the YouTube image below.
I hope you enjoy the video as much I enjoyed creating this page.
This is an art project I created in collaboration with my friend Linda Simpson. We set each other the task of creating an art piece on the theme of Neglected Tools of the Trade. Each piece had to be at least 8″ in size in one of it’s dimensions and feature some kind of tool or equipment.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece and just love the rust colours and textures in it. To see how it was created from start to finish click the YouTube link below. Don’t forget to hop over to Linda’s channel to see what she has created!
