More domestic comings and goings, clothes shopping with Mother, trips to Art from the Heart, doggy Happy Mail and some bits and bobs in the craft room are all in this week’s That Was The Week That Was Feb 19th to Feb 25th 2018. Click below to watch my week!
This is my first ever attempt at bookbinding and making my own “proper” journal. The project is in response to Nik The Booksmith’s classics challenge to create a journal based on a literary classic – in my case I chose H.G. Wells War of the Worlds. One of my all-time favourite books.

To watch the flip through of my journal click the YouTube link below. This is NOT a process video as it took me almost two weeks to create from start to finish with a few breaks in between waiting for various resources to arrive from around the globe! However, I’m sure you’ll be able to appreciate the work that I put into it and as it is my very first attempt at a full binding project – you’ll forgive me if I get a few things wrong or did a few things wrong…it’s a learning curve!
I have included a few photos in a gallery below if you want a closer look at some of the pages in this journal.
Today, I’m creating and decorating a double-sided flip out page in my 5×8 lapbook journal. The final project video in my lapbook series, unless I’ve forgotten how to show you something!
