This is another of my handmade journals. This time on a theme of The Fortune Teller’s Handbook. Cram packed full of pages to write and journal in, with lots of vintage ephemera and astrology, fortune telling and tarot card imagery.
It’s 6.25″ x 8.75″ in size, has approx 200 tea and ink dyed pages with a deep blue/purple book cloth cover. The corners have antique brass effect protectors and there is an antique brass effect label plate on the spine. Each signature has a blue tab with a printed vellum wrap. There are pockets and tuck spots throughout with bits of ephemera and tarot cards hidden inside!

This journal is for sale in my store – but if it gets sold and you’d like to commission me to make one like this, just for you, then please contact me for more details.
Taking a quote from art critic John Ruskin “Necessity of restraint, remember, is just as honourable to man as the necessity of labour” I felt inspired to create an art journal page that was restrained in its application of layers and focal elements. The original idea was to create an art journal page with plenty of white space…but that went out the window almost immediately!

It’s Happy mail time again – this time I’m opening and sharing a happy mail package from a longtime friend of my YouTube channel Jocelyn Cazier from the state of Washington in the US.
Many thanks to Jocelyn for her generosity and thinking of me while she de-stashes! Click the YouTube image below to watch what Jocelyn has sent to me!
