Art Journal Page – Wings

I this art journal page I’ve used a new downloadable digi art journal collage set called “Wings” which is available to purchase from my website store now. For more information click the image below.

The page is an 8″x8″ piece of 300gsm (140lb) water colour card stock from Winsor & Newton and I’ve teamed the collage image up with a selection of ephemera from my collection. The background colours are mainly white gesso and Neocolor II water soluble crayons from Faber Castell, which are amazing to work with. The quote is one of 6 included in the digi download sheets along with a variation of belly dancing angel with golden wings!

As usual I have filmed the entire process of creation from start to finish, which you can watch, if you’re so inclined, by clicking the YouTube image below. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it and that you’ll find it in your heart to give it a thumbs up!

  3. Mike, I’ve probably started backwards by having started with digital scrapbooking (“mixed media”) stuff before I’ve done real world mixed media LOL! But I’m trying to find my way with art supplies. In your video you say you’ve used “spirit glue” but I can’t quite figure out what that is. This might just be the US, but I can only find references to “spirit gum” that is used for fake hair and the like in costumes. Can you put a link to what you use? Thanks!

    1. Hi Nancy, I’ve added a link to the Collall spirit glue from an American website called Crafters Companion. http://www.crafterscompanion.com/Collall-All-Purpose-Glue–100ml_p_2497.html

      1. Thank you! Doing IRL art can be overwhelming, but your videos are a blessing. I’m so glad I happened to come across them.

  4. Fantastic, I really love the background on this. Creative Blessings, Tracy x
