My project today is a small A6(A2 US) Christmas card using the “Rockin Robin” red rubber stamp from IndigoBlu. Click the image below for more info on the stamp.
I stamped the image using Versamark ink onto a piece of IndigoBlu perfect stamping card and then covered the image with clear embossing powder – you can use white instead if you haven’t any clear!
I then heated the image until the embossing powder had set. I then added a touch of colour into the centre of the image covering the robin using Tattered Rose Distress Ink.
Next I blended Shabby Shutters Distress Ink around the pink.
Finally I added a border using Vintage Photo Distress Ink which adds a nice aged and vintage feel to the card image.
I then cut the image from the cardstock leaving an even border all the way around.
For my card base I cut an A4 sheet of dark green cardstock down the middle and then folded in half and burnished with a bone folder to create my A6 top folded card base. I trimmed the main focal image down a little to get a nice even fit and border with the darkness of the green. I then stuck the main inked image onto the card front using foam tape to give it a little dimension.
A quick, easy, single image, effective and cute Christmas card with no sentiment needed!
This is gorgeous Mike! I love the background and stamp.
