Art Journal Page – Mission:Inspiration – Affection

This is my art journal page created from the new Mission:Inspiration prompts for February. I’ve stuck with the colour palette and had to work hard to restrain myself with the prompts for this month. I wanted to keep as much white space on my page as I could!

The list of prompts, colours suggestions and words to inspire can be seen below. You can click to view and print full size to use in your own blog or video creations.

If you would like to join us in the Mission:Inspiration Facebook group, simply click the Facebook link below and click that “Join” button once you get there! The group’s members are very friendly and supportive and it’s a totally creative safe zone!

Art Journal Page – Journal52 – WK#4 – Listen

The prompt for week 4 over at Journal52.com is “Listen”. This is quite a good prompt and can be interpreted in many, many ways. For me the prompt made me think instantly of the Beatles song “Do you want to know a secret”. It’s this song that provides the quote for the page.

The full sized printable version of the prompt card & wordage can be found in the following locations: FACEBOOK GROUP HERE: http://facebook.com/groups/journal52 WEBSITE HERE: http://journal52.com

Week4 – Listen

The image is taken from a royalty free CD resource called the Steampunk Source Book which can be found on Amazon and other good book stores. See cover below. The CD contains many fantastic images of the vintage, Steampunk variety!

The image has been hand tinted using Artist Pitt pens which contain India ink. As always you can watch my entire process from start to finish by clicking the YouTube image below. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed creating this page.

Art Journal Page – Family

Todays art journal page share is one where I wanted to explore themes of ethnic primitive art. It has a colourful background with earthy tones in the foreground. I took my inspiration from pictures of prehistoric cave art and hand painting as seen in the caves of France, Spain, Africa and other countries. My page (I hope) evokes a feeling of a one world united and of a common ancestry.

To watch the whole process of the page’s creation from start to finish simply click the YouTube image below. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it! Please remember to give the video a thumbs up, share it with your friends and subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven’t already.
