Week14 for Journal52 is all about horizons, distant, new or whatever kind of horizon you’d like. For my page I decided to go with a split page, almost symmetrical page with corrugated cardboard for texture.
It’s a simple page with plenty of white space that I’m beginning to control my fear over! White space can be scary! The full process, start to finish video of my page can be found below; simply click to play.
I’m starting out in a new Dina Wakley multi surface journal that was given to me for Valentine’s Day by my better half. This is the first time I’ve used it and so wanted to pay homage to Dina and create an art journal page that is inspired by one of the pages in her book Art Journal Courage.
The page that inspired mine is shown below. I decided I didn’t want all the layers that Dina has used, so I selected just a few and decided to create the page and record it in real time, so no fast forward or sped up sections. I did however cut out the drying time bits, only because they’re really boring!
