Scorching weather, bunny operations, road trips to Manchester and art projects are all on the agenda in that was the week that was 12th June to 19th June 2017
This is a mixed media canvas I started months ago. I put it to one side to let the gloss gel medium on the paintbrush end to dry and forgot about it. I rediscovered it again when I started to do a bit of a tidy session in my art room and decided I’d finally finish it off. The original film of gluing and sticking all the bits together on the canvas is lost (sorry) I must have deleted them thinking I would no longer need them. However, I have filmed the whole process of finishing off the canvas and I also filmed it it in real time, only the boring drying time edited out! To watch the process click the YouTube link below.

There is only the one, it is unique and one of a kind, so it’s first come first served!
It’s Father’s Day here in the UK this weekend and so I thought I’d make my Dad a card using some of the recent Tim Holtz purchases that I have in my collection. So I found a great cut out from the Paper Dolls, plus some great layering pieces from the Collector Layers ephemera and the word “DAD” spelled out in alpha chips. Teamed up with a little Vintage Photo Distress Oxide and a piece of patterned paper sent to me in happy mail recently. To watch the full process of creation from start to finish click the YouTube link below.
I’m sure Dad will love the card as the colours and style are right up his street! If you enjoyed the video don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven’t already!
I’ve had these cherub alphabet digi images in my collection for a number of years, I obtained them even before I’d heard of art journaling! I have no idea where they came from or whether I obtained them as public domain or whether I bought them. My memory just isn’t that good! I rediscovered them when I cam across a couple of missing letter from the set. I was missing a P, Q and W. While browsing the interwebs I came across the missing P & Q on a public domain website along with a few other letters but not the complete set! So now I’m just missing the W.
I decided to film the whole process of the pages creation in real time rather than speed up and narrate as I thought I’d have plenty of time to film and upload. I also know that a lot of my followers and subscribers enjoy the real time videos and like to listen to me ramble! To watch the process simply click the YouTube image below.
