The first Mission: Inspiration of 2020 and the first in January, and I’m creating it in my new bespoke 9″ circle art journal that I hand stitched a few days ago.
If you missed the video where I created the journal by hand, you can catch up and watch it by clicking the YouTube link below.
The Mission: Inspiration art challenge for January and of course for 2020 is going to be slightly different to last year’s challenges. This year we’ve dropped the list of ingredients and adopted a monthly theme instead. We have of course kept the words for inspiration and the tri-colour combo. It’s good to change and mix things up a little now and again!
The prompt card can be seen below. Please feel free to download a copy for your own use!
If you’d like to join in the with us in the monthly art challenge, simply click the Facebook link below and ask to join, there are a few questions, just to make sure you’re not a robot or a spammers, but otherwise it’s simple to join the group.

For today’s page I wanted to create another double page spread in my new altered book the Volume of the Dolls which, if you haven’t seen it already, is where I’m trying to use up some of the small mountain of die cut paper dolls from Tim Holtz Idea-ology range. Over the past few years I’ve amassed a fair few of these little gems and this new/old altered book seemed a good place to create a themed piece of interactive artwork!
