“Heat” – Mission: Inspiration – July 2019

I’m a little behind this month with my Mission: Inspiration art journal page project due to technical issues with my old video camera…luckily it seems to be playing nice – which is a little annoying as I’ve just ordered a new one from Amazon!

So the prompts for July can be found below – please feel free to download and use as you wish!

“She Blooms”

Now that my internet service has been switched on, I’m finally able to sit and record a new art journal page project. This page is based on the June 2019 prompts from the Mission: Inspiration Facebook monthly art challenge. This month’s prompts are set by our good friend Linda Simpson. The prompts for June can be found below. Click for a larger version that you can download and print!

“Stardust” – May Mid Month Mini Mission: Inspiration

May 2019 – Mid Month Mini Mission: Inspiration

Time for a new mid-month mini Mission: Inspiration art challenge and this month as the wonderful Doris Day has recently passed away I thought I’d do a small tribute and use a line from one of her early songs as our song lyric prompt for the month of May.

From the song “A Song in My Heart” (1950).

For me, the words Heaven and portal bring to mind images of swirling blues and cream colours and circles, so that’s what I went with for the basis of my art journal page that you can see above. To watch how I created the page from start to finish, simply click the YouTube link below.
