I wanted to experiment with a burlap/canvas page in my Dina Wakley multi surface art journal. I also have some Ranger crackle texture paste that I wanted to use to see if I could get a good crackle effect on the burlap.
To add colour to the page I’ve used a mixture of Dylusions ink sprays with water to dilute them down just a little as I didn’t want to use them full strength.The video below shows in real time how I created the page. The only thing taken out of the video is the time spent drying with my heat tool. To watch simply click the YouTube link below.
Not all art journal pages are planned, some are spontaneous and the simple results of playing with colour and whatever paint and stencils you have at hand. This is one of those pages. I began my art session without any thoughts about what I was going to create, no quotes or images or layout in mind…
