The first Mission: Inspiration of 2020 and the first in January, and I’m creating it in my new bespoke 9″ circle art journal that I hand stitched a few days ago.
If you missed the video where I created the journal by hand, you can catch up and watch it by clicking the YouTube link below.
The Mission: Inspiration art challenge for January and of course for 2020 is going to be slightly different to last year’s challenges. This year we’ve dropped the list of ingredients and adopted a monthly theme instead. We have of course kept the words for inspiration and the tri-colour combo. It’s good to change and mix things up a little now and again!
The prompt card can be seen below. Please feel free to download a copy for your own use!
If you’d like to join in the with us in the monthly art challenge, simply click the Facebook link below and ask to join, there are a few questions, just to make sure you’re not a robot or a spammers, but otherwise it’s simple to join the group.

It’s been an age since I last created an 8″ circle art journal page – June 2018 to be precise! Which is probably why I felt like creating something different today! This page is made up of digitally manipulated images from my computer and brand new stencil designs that will be released in early June! To watch how I created this page from start to finish, click the YouTube link below!
Using a mellow and natural palette of colours in today’s art journal page and of course, it’s been such a long time since I created a page in my large circle art journal. Makes a nice change to work in a different size and shape format. The colours I used were Brusho pigment powders, these powders are flexible and an easy to use pigment powder and you get such glorious results from very little effort. The two focal images are public domain images from a clip art website – I’ve had them for so long I can’t remember where they are from – sorry, but to make up for it here they are for you to use if you so wish. Click to see the full-sized version, then save to your computer in the normal way.
