Mixed Media Art Journal Page – Clarice

Today I’ve been playing in my Dina Wakley Multi-surface Journal with a brand new stamp from which is being launched on September 21st. The stamp is “Clarice” a giant moth – think Silence of the Lambs!

I’ve also got a few new Dina Wakley Media metallic paints that I’ve been wanting to play and get messy with a for a few days.

New “Artist Studio” Stamps from IndigoBlu

Today I’ve been playing in my Dylusions Creative Flip Journal with some new stamp sets just released from These three new stamp sets feature some cool images, especially for art and artists.

I decided to dust off some of my Distress Inks and have a play at stamping and water colouring using the Distress Inks and a water brush.

Details of the new stamps can be found by clicking the IndigoBlu images below. In case you’re wondering, I’m NOT getting any!

Art Journal Page – Sacred & Immaculate

I’m not a hugely religious person. I consider myself to be more spiritual than religious, but these fantastic classic icon images of Jesus (Sacred Heart) and Mary (Immaculate Heart) really do speak to me in the way they are painted. The artistic style is glorious! I have had these two images as cut out transparent background pngs in my collection for ages and I’ve never quite known what I wanted to do with them…until today. I wanted to try and create the effect of an old plaster wall where the plaster is distressed, cracked and crumbling, then add the two images over the top and blend them in with IndigoBlu acrylic paints.

I’m happy with the way it turned out. To watch how I created the page from start to finish in real time, only the boring bits taken out. Click the YouTube link below.

Flip Top Bumble Bee Note Pad for IndigoBlu

For my June IndigoBlu Design Team project, I decided to make a small Bumble Bee themed notepad using the Collector’s Edition No9 Bumblebee stamp as inspiration. The notepad only has 100 pages, but I thought it would be fun to show the whole process of its creation from start to finish. Click below to watch.

More info on the stamps and gilding flake kits used in this project can be found over on the IndigoBlu website {CLICK HERE}
