An absence of mojo left me seeking inspiration and ideas from the Mar/April edition of Somerset Studios magazine. Inside (p118-119) was a double page spread of 4 rust effect mixed media pieces that stood out and spoke to me in their layout, colour theme and design. The pieces were created by Irl Nobel of Gilbert, Arizona in the US.
This gave me the spark of inspiration and creative mojo that I needed to create the piece above. The photo is of Ian as a baby in 1963. To see how I created my mixed media piece from start to finish, click the YouTube image below.
My 1st IndigoBlu Design Team project for 2018 is an 8×8 mixed media canvas and I wanted to use some of the fantastic Luscious Powders with the Collector’s Edition No#12 Seahorse stamp. Of course I had to throw in and use a lot more IndigoBlu products into the mix! Click below to watch how I created the canvas from start to finish.

Today I’m having a real messy play in my art room and creating a 6×8 canvas using the mid month mini mission:inspiration prompt of “Ice” as my inspiration. Please feel free to copy and save the graphic below and use in your projects, blogs, vlogs and YouTube videos.
